Various days & times
Whether seeking for God, beginning a spiritual journey, or traveling further along on our walk with God, we need to go together. We need friends that will walk with us. In short, we need to connect with others. At SUMC, we connect with others primarily through Journey Groups and Life Groups.
These groups are short-term studies that occur periodically throughout the year. The groups meet for four to 12 weeks and are generally based on some material that is studied and discussed. The groups meet on various nights and cover a variety of topics. The purpose of Journey Groups is more than just learning new information and faith development; they help provide an avenue for friendships to be formed.
Life Transformation Groups
We encourage the formation of groups that meet for longer periods of time with the purpose of caring for each other, for faith formation, and for holding each other accountable to moving on toward Christlikeness. Some groups include: Sunday morning Bible studies, Roof Crashers (Women’s study group), United Methodist Women (UMW circle), Band of Brothers, WEB Groups (consisting of people sharing the same interests).
