Experience Christmas 2021

Share in the wonder and joy of the coming Christ child!

Jubilee Christmas

Each year, members of SUMC share Christmas with selected families from Homecroft Elementary School. The generous support of Jubilee Christmas will make a difference in the lives of 18 families this year.

Jubilee Christmas shopping has started online and with tags from the Jubilee board at church. Children's toys and gifts can be found on our Amazon list by clicking here

Choose items, make your purchases and delivery will be made to the home of a Jubilee Team member.  New items will be added as more family information is received, so check back often for any additional purchases. We hope to receive all Amazon purchases by December 1.

Stop by the Gathering Place at church and choose tags to provide gift cards, wrapping supplies and children's underwear to be returned to the church by December 5. Thank you!

Advent Study

Our Advent study this year will be from Max Lucado’s study called, Because of Bethlehem: Love is Born, Hope is Here

From the description:

Christmas begins what Easter celebrates. The child in the cradle becomes the King on the cross. Because of Bethlehem, we have a Savior in heaven. These are the heart shaping promises of Christmas. Long after the guests have left, the carolers have gone home, and the lights have come down, these promises endure.

No one expected God to come the way he did. Yet the way he came was every bit as important as the coming itself. The manger is the message.

The study will be held in person, Wednesday evenings during Advent (December 1st, 8th, 15th, and 22nd) at 7:00 p.m. We will also broadcast using Zoom.

No resource is required. However, you can purchase the book on Amazon. (I would recommend the book itself, not the study guide. Because of Bethlehem: Love Is Born, Hope Is Here – October 13, 2020. It is available in hardcover or Kindle.)
